Whether you’re joining us for just one night, or staying for a month or more, our cottages are equipped with everything you might need.

Pinotage Cottage

Pinotage Cottage comprises two bedrooms (twin or king size bed in each), living/dining room with kitchenette, shower room, and patio area for outside dining.
 

The cottage can comfortably accommodate four guests as well as baby cots.

La Galiniére provides only self-catering accommodation.

We’ve therefore made sure that our kitchen/kitchenettes are well-equipped so that you are able to cook a wide variety of meals

  • The Kitchens or Kitchenettes
    The kitchens and kitchenette include the following: Gas hobs and electric ovens Fridge freezers Toasters and kettles Microwave ovens Complimentary tea, coffee, milk & sugar Wide range of pots, pans and utensils Crockery & cutlery
  • Entertainment
    Both cottages provide a flat screen TV and DVD Player. With a subscription to DSTV, we provide a wide range of sports and movie channels. For the younger guests, we are able to supply age appropriate DVDs to watch (on request).
  • Swimming Pool
    Both cottages share their own outdoor swimming pool, ideal for cooling off in the summer months. Pool towels are also available in the cottages. The swimming pool is fenced off.
  • Internet Access
    Free Wifi Internet Access is available in both cottages with a speed of up to 2Mbps. Please note that Internet access in a rural location like Franschhoek can sometime be temperamental.
  • BBQ/Braai Area
    As well as the swimming pool, both cottages also share their own BBQ/braai area with seating for up to 8 guests. We ask that guests provide their own wood or charcoal for cooking.
  • Parking
    La Galiniere provides secure, under cover parking for guest vehicles
  • Laundry Services
    La Galiniere does not provide laundry facilities on site. We recommend that guests use the various services provided in town. An iron and ironing board are available on request.
  • Wine Sales
    A complimentary bottle of La Galiniere’s Cabernet Sauvignon is provided for every booking. Additional bottles are available for sale, on request.
  • Travelling with Children
    La Galiniere welcomes families with children of all ages. For our youngest guests, we are able to provide travel cots and high chairs. If parents would like a night out on their own, our Cottage Manager, Rietha is able to provide babysitting services for R150/hour. Please provide as much advance notice as possible.
  • Grocery Shopping Service
    If you’d like us to get you some essential groceries in before your arrival, just send us a shopping list. A R50 service charge applies.
  • Check In & Check Out
    Check in is between 2.00 pm and 5.00 pm and check out time between 8:00 am and 10.00 am. If you would like to check in early or check out late, please let us know and we’ll try to accommodate. Guests who need to arrive after 5:00pm must notify us in advance. Guests not informing us in advance will need to pay a R200 late check-in charge.
  • Smoking Policy
    La Galiniere’s cottages have a no smoking policy. Ashtrays are available outside each cottage.
  • Housekeeping
    Our cottages are serviced every weekday, although we appreciate that some guests prefer their privacy and don’t need the cottage cleaned everyday. Just let us know when you check in.
  • Pet Policy
    La Galiniere has four German Shepherd dogs that roam freely on the farm. We are therefore unable to allow guests with pets to stay with us.
  • Keeping Warm in Winter
    Both cottages have a fireplace, ideal for the winter nights. A complimentary basket of wood is provided. Additional wood can be purchased from us on request or bought from the local Pick ‘N Pay Supermarket or BP Garage in town. We also provide fan heaters and blankets.
  • Payment Methods
    La Galiniere accepts payments by Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club, EFT/Wire Transfer and Cash
